Ginger Lindsey Blazek is owner and brainchild of Zenzero Bakery and Cafe. A dedicated passion for baking and cooking started at a very young age (see photo) and was encouraged by her parents and extended family. Ginger cherished these great moments, shared with family, preparing meals and most of all baking. Inspired by this love, she was determined to pursue a career path in the culinary industry. Her love of family inevitably took her on a side career, in her favorite role as mother, before opening a successful executive search firm.
Fast forward to 2009, Ginger continued to follow her passion and invested in a new kitchen for her home, with marble countertops and professional ovens, just so that she could bake for family and friends while blogging about the experience. It did not take long for this hobby to refuel Ginger’s passion which led her to The Culinary School of Fort Worth where she received a degree in Pastry Arts. It was no surprise to anyone that the course was set for Ginger to pursue her ultimate dream of owning her very own bakery and share her love of baking to Coppell, the small-town community she lives in.
Because of her heritage, Ginger decided that the name for her new bakery should be Italian. So, the word zenzero, pronounced “ZEHN-zeh-roh,” which is Italian for ginger (the spicy root), was only befitting. For Pastry Chef Ginger Lindsey Blazek, who discovered her love of baking at a very early age, this is a dream come true.
